Ultrasound

What is ultrasound?

Ultrasound is not audible sound waves by the human ear due to their high frequency. This therapy causes micromotion of tissue. These vibrations can shred the fibers of the connective tissue to allow the destruction of adhesions. There is also a thermal effect in deep tissue. This treatment is recommended in cases of arthritis, capsulitis, adhesions, tendonitis or sprain.

How patients perceive this therapy?

The majority of patients think ultrasound is very beneficial for us. When treating, patients experience no discomfort. Low heat can be perceived.

Why do we use this therapy?

Ultrasound is mainly used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. The ligament tears, sprains and muscle spasms respond positively to this kind of treatment, which helps to reduce adhesions and improve blood flow.

Benefits for patients

  • Defibrosing Action: This action accelerates the principle of tendon reconstruction
  • Anti-inflammatory action: The increase in heat in the treated area, is accompanied by an increase in metabolism at the cellular level .
  • Analgesic action: nerve conductivity may suffer a slowdown or even a momentary interruption and therefore lead to decreased pain sensation
  • Reduces painful symptoms
  • Decreases local edema
  • Helps restore the normal movement amplitudes
  • Accelerates the healing process
